We’re going the extra mile this September, to change that!
This September, Suzanne, Pat and Ultan will undertake the 750km Paris2Nice cycle with six other friends. They will fully-fund their own trip, so any donation you make, will go directly to ‘Breakthrough Cancer Research’.

Ovarian cancer is ruthless. Over 400 women are diagnosed annually, with 290 dying in Ireland alone. These women are more than statistics; they are someone's wife, mother, daughter, sister or friend. The cruelty of this cancer lies in its stealth - often, it goes undetected until it reaches advanced stages 3 or 4. This drastically reduces the chances of survival and the reality is very stark for many, as 7 in 10 women are simply diagnosed too late.
Our friend, Attracta, passed away quickly and with devastating effect, in July 2023. And we know that she would want nothing less, than for us to continue in her formidable footsteps and do what we can, to demand positive change.
In 2024, Attracta’s husband, Ultan & their family, established the Attracta O’Regan PhD Scholarship for research into the early detection of Ovarian Cancer. We’ve raised over €150,000 and already funded a 4-year PhD Research Scholarship at Trinity St. James Cancer Institute, awarded in October 2024 to Marika Kanjuga in the lab of Dr. Sharon O’Toole’s lab. Year one is complete. Now we’re launching a €300,000 Research Fellowship to expand the work and research team, keep momentum and accelerate progress toward an early detection test for ovarian cancer. All donations go directly to ‘Breakthrough Cancer Research’.
This will be our second Gala Dinner, in aid of the Attracta O’Regan Scholarship. A great night is ensured, see some pictures from our 2024 ball below!
